Services
Inbound USPS Mail Processing & Delivery
Mail Services is the dedicated delivery point for all of the CSU Main Campus’s USPS mail. We receive deliveries multiple times daily from the postal service, and process mail as it arrives for delivery to campus. We sort all mail by Campus Delivery Code. Deliveries are made to campus once per day to consolidated delivery locations throughout campus.
At CSU, we employ an advanced package tracking system to internally monitor the entire journey of all incoming shipments with a trackable barcode, from delivery to us by the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Amazon, OnTrac, and Freight Carriers) to initial processing, and through to their ultimate delivery destination. Utilize this cutting-edge tool for tracking the progress of your shipment while it is at CSU.
Outbound USPS Mail Processing & Delivery to USPS
Mail Services processes all outbound mail leaving campus. We utilize several high-volume postal meters to apply postage to outgoing mail. We also process Certified Mail, Registered Mail, Priority Mail, and all USPS Package Services such as USPS Ground Advantage.
Due to the volume of mail that we process, we prefer all outgoing letters and flats have an associated Postage Account form or envelopes be pre-printed with approved barcodes for internal billing. Packages (parcels) should have an associated Transtream Shipment Requisition accompanying the package.
International Mail & Packages – Items destined for international locations (including US Territories) require special procedures, including prior Export Control office approval. Please review our International Mailings page for this process and to submit for approval before sending international items to Mail Services.
Inter-Campus Mail Processing & Delivery
Mail Services processes all inter-campus mail. Mail is only delivered with an appropriate Campus Delivery Code. Inter-Campus mail Cover Sheets are available. Otherwise, please note a TO: and FROM: with associated Campus Delivery Codes for each on the outside of the envelope. For those important or high-value items, we offer an Inter-Campus Trackable Item (ICT) process where you can generate a unique tracking number to track the item through to delivery.
Postage Stamps & USPS Mailing Supplies
We sell stamps! While a large majority of mail leaving CSU can be processed on our high-volume mail meters, we recognize there is still a need for standard postage stamps. We offer stamps in a variety of denominations, and are available in individuals, sheets, or rolls. We bill your Kuali account number for these transactions.
We also offer FREE USPS mailing supplies such as tubs, trays, forms, labels, and both envelopes and boxes for Express and Priority Mail shipping services. Please Note: The free boxes provided are property of the US Government and must be used only for the paid services indicated (Express or Priority). We stock a limited supply, but can order any quantities that are needed with advanced notification. The supplies are free, but you will need to pay for the associated service when selecting your rate in Transtream.
